About the Game

Rhyme Calisthenics is an MC competition where 16 MC’s, rappers and freestylists take on our Wheel of Skillz and perform various MC-based challenges over instrumentals using their creativity, intelligence and improvisational rap skills.



In the first round the 16 MC’s are divided into 4 heats with 4 MC’s in each heat. The 4 MC’s within the first heat all get the opportunity to spin the wheel and perform the designated challenge. Each MC gets 45 seconds to perform the given challenge. After all MC’s have spun the wheel and performed the judges select two MC’s from each heat to advance to the next round.



In round 2 the two MC’s from each heat perform the same challenge. Game Host Thelonious Stretch spins the wheel for the two MC’s from heat 1 and both those MC’s must perform the same challenge. This time, after both MC’s have performed, the crowd decides who will advance. Stretch spins the wheel for the two MC’s in heats 2, 3 & 4 and the crowd selects one winner from each heat, leaving only four MC’s in the game.



In Round 3 each of the final four MC’s spin the wheel and the judges select their favorite two MC’s to advance to the final round.



The Final Round is a best-out-of-three classic MC battle. The winner of the battle wins the grand prize of $500 + prizes and earns the title of Rhyme Calisthenics Champion.
